Intro to Cable Knitting: Mug Cozy
Sunday, March 15th 1pm-2:30pm
Cables are hot! Join instructor Echo Mae and learn to knit your very own cable-knit, mug cozy.
Participants will receive a printed copy of the Toasty Warm Mug Cozy pattern and step‑by‑step guidance on how to knit it, with special emphasis on cable techniques. This fun project is the perfect introduction to the beautiful cable style made famous by traditional Aran Island sweaters.
In class, students will begin their mug cozy and gain the skills needed to confidently continue the repeating pattern and bind it off at home.
Experience Level:
This course is open to knitters ages 13+ at all levels. Beginning knitters should be comfortable with the following basics:
-Casting on
-Knitting
-Purling
-Binding off

Echo Mae (She/Hers) Echo Mae is one of the owners of Northwest Yarns & Mercantile in Bellingham, WA and a dedicated fan of fiber arts history and culture.
