Often cited as having a ‘velvet’ voice, Kim is one of the most sought-after singers and session vocalists that Scotland has to offer, having worked with producers including Jim Sutherland (Salmon Fishing in the Yemen), Donald Shaw (Capercaillie) and Ged Grimes (Simple Minds), and is lead singer for both Mànran and Staran. Her acclaimed debut solo album ‘And So We Gather’ (2022), which brought together an all star cast from fellow Gaelic singer Julie Fowlis to Senegalise Kora player Kadialy Kouyate and award-winning saxophonist Matt Carmichael, is truly captivating.
